The OTC derivative market is the biggest market for derivatives, and is largely unregulated with respect to disclosure of details in between the parties, considering that the OTC market is made up of banks and other highly advanced celebrations, such as hedge funds.
According to the Bank for International Settlements, who first surveyed OTC derivatives in 1995, reported that the "gross market price, which represent the cost of changing all open agreements at the prevailing market value, ... increased by 74% because 2004, to $11 trillion at the end of June 2007 (BIS 2007:24)."
