Mary ScalesMAPR-Los Alamos News: stanley quencher Mary Scales has accepted a temporary detail as Manhattan Project National Historical Park MAPR-Los Alamos Site Manager. She will serve in this position for 120 days ending April 30, 2023.Scales has a bachelors degree in anthropology/archaeology, and a masters in historic preservation. To this position, she brings five years of federal service and professional knowledge in cultural resource management, project management, and Cold War Era site management.She previously worked in the cultural landscape group in the Southeast Regional Office of the National Park Ser stanley italy vice, as a compliance specialist at Grand Teton National Park, lead architectural historian for the Idaho National Laboratory contractor for Department of Energy , and is the Legacy Intermountain Regions Cultural Resource Inventory System Program Coordinator in Santa Fe. I am honored to have been selected for this position and look forward to working with the knowledgeable stanley canada staff and volunteers, and developing my own understanding of MAPR as it relates to the community, federal agencies, and park visitors, she said.
