Youths in Ubima Community, Ikwerre Local Govermment Area LGA of Rivers State and home to stanley espana wn of Minister of Transportation, Chief Rotimi Amaechi,聽have threatened to shut down economic activities in the community over the payment of royalties by the oil company operating in the area.The youths, under the aegis of Patriotic Youths of Ubima PYU , said the oil company, 聽All Grace Energy Limited, have refused to pay the sum of N200 million royalties聽to Ubima Community, as contained in a isubsisting Memorandum of Understanding MoU with the Community, which is for a period of five years.聽In a report by Ike Wigodo, Nigerian Union of Journalist NUJ Secretary, Rivers State Chapter,聽PYU threatened that by non-implementation, the company has failed to honour the various items in an agreement they willingly accented to, in the spirit of fairness to all concerned.
